There are five online spaces where I am digitally identified: professional webpages (UM-Dearborn, personal website, secondary affiliations), Twitter, YouTube, ORCID iD, LinkedIn. However, I only update the CV linked to my personal website regularly.
I am not using my digital presence for anything but increasing the visibility of my research. No personal rants!
I have suspended my Facebook account and do not post views or comments. The only retweet that was someone else’s views was Barack Obama’s tweet in response to G. Floyd’s death.
My Twitter handle is effectively dead, but I need to change that by sharing new research articles and policy outreach. However, I would not like to engage in shameless self-promotion and, therefore, I will resort to retweeting only when a different organization is publicizing my work (no primary self-promotion).
